Capital 6

In various combinations, they have been playing together for decades, from church basements to main stages, from community radio to Radio 1. Collectively, they’ve played all over Canada over the last 2 decades.

They find themselves together again in Capital 6, an instrumental funk project bringing together their diverse musical visions, resolved by the freedom of collaborative writing and the friendship that keeps them playing together after all these years.

Formed in the summer of 2018, Capital 6 brings together 6 diverse musicians with broad musical influences to explore and write new music together. Along the way, they have released 2 albums, earning them 2 ECMA nominations in 2025, along with 1 MusicNB award nomination in 2021, and a #1 spot on the national jazz charts for their debut album.
