Songwriters Intensive Showcase with host Catherine MacLellan

Charlotte Street Arts Centre
Doors 5:00 pm/Show 5:00 pm/ENDS at 7:00 pm

The Songwriters Intensive is a professional development opportunity for up and coming songwriters in New Brunswick. Through a partnership between Shivering Songs Festival and Charlotte Street Arts Centre, we’ve invited Juno Award winner Catherine MacLellan to work collaboratively with a dozen of New Brunswick’s emerging singer/songwriters.

Throughout the weekend, artists are immersed in a safe, supportive environment in which they experiment, take risks and learn. They work on singing, chord progressions and more advanced aspects of songwriting such as lyrical integrity, crafting a style, performing, etc. Through working with an experienced, acclaimed songwriter, and in collaboration with fellow musicians, participants have the opportunity to fast-track their skill development and receive real-life advice from someone who was once in their shoes.

The weekend is capped off with a live performance at Charlotte Street Arts Centre featuring the workshop participants.
