Bahamas at Shivering Songs Stage Wed Sept 10
Shivering Songs is excited to present Bahamas at a special showcase during Fredericton’s Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival, Wednesday September 10 at the Mojo Tent in Officer’s Square.
Tickets for Bahamas are on sale now at the Harvest Jazz & Blues Office in Fredericton, online here and by phone at 1-888-311-9090. The show is open to people of all ages, while alcoholic beverages will be on sale for patrons over the age of 19.
Having already shared two swooning, critically lauded albums, Bahamas is set to release a third this August, immediately before making the trek to Fredericton. With a genuine knack for making simple arrangements speak volumes, it’s little wonder that the band has amassed three Juno nominations and a Polaris Prize nod in a mere five years of performing.
The Globe & Mail has dubbed Bahamas frontman Afie Jurvanen “a sublime, incomparable leading man,” while the Los Angeles Times called Bahamas’ most recent album, Barchords “a gorgeous, full-bodied recording that revels in spare but intensely flavorful textures. It’s that delightfully rare kind of record that commands an instant replay.”
