STARS with Jenn Grant

STARS have made their career telling the tales we keep in the darkest, and most hopeful parts of our souls. The JUNO Award and Polaris Prize-nominated band’s eighth album, There Is No Love In Fluorescent Light, is now available everywhere. With approaching 20 years as a band and a storied album catalogue spanning 2001’s Nightsongs, the romantic upheaval of 2003’s Heart and 2004’s Set Yourself On Fire, 2007’s In Our Bedroom After the War, the downcast elegies of 2010’s The Five Ghosts, the rejuvenation of 2012’s The North and sub-base, dance club infused No One Is Lost in 2014.

We’ve also tapped Jenn Grant to join these shows. Grant’s voice and songwriting have been celebrated the world over by critics and industry alike. Described as one of the ‘best singers in the world’ by her ongoing collaborator, Buck 65 (CA), “captivating’ by The Line Of Best Fit (UK), and “work of a painter born in paradise” by The Sydney Morning Herald (AU). Paradise is Grant’s latest release and the follow-up to 2014 twice JUNO nominated album, Compostela. Paradise welcomes a new dimension in Grant’s songwriting with new depths of sonic beauty and melodic landscapes, touching upon balladry, R&B and electronic music along the way.
