Stand-up Comedy with Anthony Bryan

Louis Anthony Bryan is a scriptwriter and stand up comedian from Trinidad and Tobago. He runs the monthly open mic at the Wilser’s Room in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He’s done several shows with O’ Me Nerves, and performs regular at the Abbey Cafe and Gallery in Fredericton.

An active member of the Fredericton art scene: his credits as an actor include the St Thomas Early English Drama Society’s (STEEDS) productions of The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus (2015) and Hamlet (2016). Also performing in the Notable Acts Theatre Festival in With Love Josephine (2018), written by Sophie Tremblay Pitre.

He’s collaborated with the Fredericton Film Co-Op, acting 2 short films in 2019: Unofficial Selection directed by Gordon Mihan and Together We Move by Kaitlyn Adair. He has also performed with the Fredericton based improv group The Hot Garbage Players.

He’s directed STEEDS’ production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2017) and his play I Love This City was performed at the What’s Next Theatre Festival hosted by Theatre St Thomas the following year.

Recently, Anthony joined STEEDS production of The Tempest directed by Mackenzie Currie.

He believes the scene is allowing him to live his best life and would like to thank his partner Neomi Iancu Haliva, his parents Stacey and Julian Alfonso- Mills, his little brother Mathew and Alex, his family and friends here and abroad for giving him their unconditional support.`
